Nuuk International Film Festival 2026

For the past 10 years, our festival has created a professional, internationally-oriented film event in Greenland. We focus on films that are rarely seen at our latitude, celebrating both Indigenous and Arctic stories as well as unique international perspectives. Our mission is to highlight the art of filmmaking itself, providing a platform for Greenlandic filmmakers and connecting them with audiences, industry professionals, and emerging talents from around the world.

In 2026, we aim to expand even further – with more screenings, premieres, Greenlandic films, and international guests – bringing stories to Greenland that might not otherwise reach our cinemas. Nuuk is increasingly on the world map, and our festival offers visitors and locals alike the chance to experience transformative cinema in the heart of the Arctic.

Submission window: April 1 – June 1
